We’re a small team doing big things, and we take the trust you place in us seriously.
This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
No legal jargon for the sake of it — just the truth about how your data moves through our systems.
What We Collect
When you donate:
Your name, email, and payment details are processed securely through PayPal.
We don’t store your card or bank information — PayPal handles that directly.
When you sign up for our newsletter:
Just your email address, so we can send you activation updates and real stories from the ground.
When you Shop:
Your name, shipping address, and email, processed through Squarespace and our fulfillment partner to get your order to you.
How We Use It
We use your information to process donations and orders, send the updates you signed up for,
and understand how our community is growing so we can plan better activations.
That’s it. We don’t use your data for anything beyond running EXC.
Who We Share It With
We work with a handful of partners to keep things running: PayPal handles donations, Squarespace and our fulfillment partner manage the shop and shipping, and our email provider sends out the newsletter. Each operates under their own privacy practices, which we’d encourage you to look into if you’re curious.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. Your support funds our activations — not a data list.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
You can also reach out to us directly to ask what information we have on file, correct it, or have it deleted,
subject to records we’re legally required to keep for nonprofit accounting and tax purposes.
Cookies & Site Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Squarespace’s built-in analytics to understand how people find and use our site —
things like which pages get visited and how our content is performing.
These tools use cookies and collect general, non-identifying information about your visit.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you’d prefer not to be tracked.
Children’s Privacy
Our site and activations are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
As EXC grows, this policy may be updated to reflect new tools or activations.
We’ll update the effective date above whenever changes are made.
